Sales Activity Reporter

Summarize seller activity, meetings, follow-ups, aging, and next-action gaps against pipeline goals in a reusable report.

Overview

A sales activity report helps sales operations see whether seller activity, meetings, follow-ups, and next actions are strong enough to support pipeline goals. This playbook installs a reusable report page and activity tracker so the review does not have to be rebuilt from scattered exports and manager updates.

The scope is intentionally narrow: it replaces a recurring sales activity dashboard, not the whole CRM. Juno works from the activity data you provide or already maintain in the workspace, then calls out aging risk, missing updates, and owner-level next steps.

Why you should tighten the sales activity review

Sales teams rarely lose visibility because nobody cares about activity. They lose it because meetings, follow-ups, overdue tasks, and pipeline goals live in different places until the review meeting starts.

That matters because seller capacity is already squeezed. Salesforce has reported that reps spend much of their week away from direct selling work in its State of Sales research, and Salesforce's own help docs treat customer meeting reporting as a distinct operational view worth building (Salesforce Help).

This playbook gives sales ops a lighter way to maintain the minimum useful version: a report that shows who is active, where follow-up is aging, which pipeline goals are exposed, and what action should happen next.

Step-by-step

  1. 1
Confirm the sales team, reporting period, pipeline goal, activity sources, and aging rules Juno should use for the first run.
  2. 2
Install the sales activity workspace with a report page and activity tracker, with an optional weekdays or weekly refresh cadence.
  3. 3
Review the available activity evidence, such as a CRM export, meeting log, follow-up tracker, seller update, or manager note.
  4. 4
Update the tracker with owner or segment rows for meetings, follow-ups, overdue items, next-action gaps, source freshness, and goal status.
  5. 5
Refresh the report page so the sales operations lead can scan owner coverage, aging risk, and the highest-priority actions without opening raw exports.
  6. 6
Add a weekly read to the report page that separates what happened, what is missing, what is aging, and what should be reviewed before the next sales operating meeting.

Frequently asked questions

Does this require a CRM integration?

No. The default playbook uses Juno's installed table, page, and scheduling capabilities. You can use CRM exports or pasted updates as inputs without making a CRM connector a requirement.

What does the playbook replace?

It replaces a narrow sales activity dashboard: the recurring view of seller activity, meetings, follow-ups, aging, next-action gaps, and pipeline goal coverage. It does not replace opportunity management, forecasting, call recording, or sales engagement tools.

How often should the report refresh?

Run it once for a one-off review, ask for a weekday schedule when follow-up aging needs a daily operating pulse, and weekly for a standard sales operations review.

What happens when data is incomplete?

Juno should keep going with a clearly labeled first pass. Missing seller updates, stale exports, undefined goals, and unclear aging rules are recorded as visible gaps instead of being smoothed over.
